To add a payment solution to your online store, you should first join Montonio. To join, follow a few simple steps.
- Go to https://onboarding.montonio.com/.
- Enter the necessary information and upload the requested documents.
- Submit a request.
Then add and set up Montonio payment solution to your online store. See the instructions below on how to do it!
1. Open the payment method selection
- To do this, open Addon in the admin and select Payment methods.
- Find in Montonio and open it.
2. Set up Montonio
- To establish a connection, add the API accesses received from Montonio : Public key and Private key
- You can find API keys in your Montonio partner account under Business settings > Stores.
- For testing, use a separate Public Key and Private Key for the Test Environment.
- To activate the public environment, add a separate Public Key and Private Key for this purpose.
3. Activate and set up payments
- Open Payments from the top menu
- Tick the box to indicate which payments you want to use.
- If you want to test payments, set the test mode with a checkmark and later remove it.
- If you want to limit the use of Montonio to only a specific customer group (not everyone), you can select customer groups, to specify which customers are allowed to use Montonio payments.
- Using a reference number: First, set up the use of a reference number in your shops admin: Settings > Settings > Sales > Reference number. Now enable or activate the use of a reference number in your Montonio account settings. Then activate the use of a reference number your shop's Montonio payments settings.
4. Activate installment payments
- Open Financing from the menu above
- Tick the box to indicate which payments you want to use.
- If you want to test payments, tick the test mode with a checkmark and later remove it.
- Add your own payment method logo if necessary, Montonio logo is used by default
5. Add Montonio Shipping solution
- Open Shipping from the top menu
- Check the box to activate the use of shipping.
- If you use Montonio in multiple stores (with the same API key pair), use the Order Prefix field to add a prefix to distinguish orders from two online stores. For example: SR
Montonio Shipping Setup and Usage
1. Make a separate mode of transportation for Montonio
- When Montonio Shipping is activated, you should now add a new Shipping method in the transport settings: Montonio
- Open the shipping settings in the shop: Settings > Transport
- Click +Add Shipping and select Montonio from the drop-down menu.
2. Set up Montonio delivery method
- In the opened Montonio shipping settings, select a carrier from the drop-down menu.
- Choose the carrier or transport you want to use.
- The carrier's selection includes: SmartPost parcel machines, Omniva parcel machines, Unisend and DPD parcel machines, and Venikpak parcel machines.
- Select the region where the delivery method is allowed and add pricing rules. As usual, make transportation.

3. Sending the order to Montonio
- To send an order to Montonio, the customer must have selected the Montonio delivery method when ordering.
- The order must have the status Confirmed in order for the shipment to be added to the order and delivered to Montonio.
- Open an order that uses the Montonio delivery method.
- From the order menu at the top, select Shipments
- Click +Add shipment
4. Send the order to Montonio and print the parcel label
- Use the Confirm & Print button for all actions at once: it confirms the shipment and sends it to the carrier, and finally opens the parcel card.
- The tracking code will be generated upon shipment, after the order has been sent to the carrier (this may take some time).
5. Shipments in Montonio
- In Montonio, you can find orders and shipments by selecting Shipments under Shipping. There you will see orders shipped from your e-store.
- If you change or edit a shipment in Montonio and then click Update shipment, a new Tracking code will be generated for the shipment. The updated Tracking code will not be sent to the shop again. In this case, you should only print the parcel label in your Montonio account.
